A non-exclusive broadcast direct contract has been signed by Fox and Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson. According to the agreement, Jackson and G-Unit will create live-action and animated scripted series for the network.
Any series approved under the agreement will belong to the broadcaster, and G-Unit Film & Television and its in-house Fox Entertainment Studios will collaborate on production.
How Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson got into the Fox deal
The Fox deal comes a few months after Jackson left a previous deal with Starz, which he had called “dumb shit” in the period before the arrangement’s termination. Due to the Fox agreement’s non-exclusive nature, he is also free to seek out other producing opportunities (he continues to serve as executive producer of the premium cabler’s Power series and BMF).
“Whether it’s music, film, or television, Curtis always delivers premium entertainment that captivates millions of fans across the world,” said Thorn, Fox’s entertainment president. He is a rare multihyphenate with a delicate touch at narrative in any format or media, and we look forward to working with him and his team to develop new and interesting shows for Fox.”
