Kenya Airways suspends Nairobi- London passengers flights

The cold war between Nairobi and London has now resulted in the suspension of Kenya Airways’ flights between the two countries from Friday. With the suspension being indefinite, those affected have been asked to either change their bookings for later travel or ask for a refund with all penalties waived. All tickets must, however, be utilized before March 31 next year.

The tiff between the two countries began last Friday when the UK added Kenya to its ‘red list’ amid concerns about new Covid-19 variants and banned passengers from Nairobi. Kenya now joins its neighbors Tanzania and Somalia on the UK’s red list.

Reactions as Akothee Warns Men To Stop Sending Her Nudes, Claims It’s A Disrespectful Act

Veteran Kenyan female musician Esther Akoth popularly known by her stage name as Akothee has today wowed her fans after she took to her Instagram page warning men to stop sending her their nude photos.

Akothee is a single mother of five children and a self-proclaimed president of single mothers. Apart from her music career, Akothee is also a successful entrepreneur. She is the founder of Akothee Safaris, tours, and travel company in Kenya She is also known for her immense love for her parents. She built her parents a kingly mansion back in the village.

On her Instagram page today, Akothee once again hit the headlines after she issued a stern warning to men who were sending her their nude photos in her inbox.

The musician raised the alarm complaining that several men have been sending her nude photos. She regarded the act as disrespectful and she was even surprised that men do send nudes too.

Some fans also advised the musician to expose those who sent their nude photos to her by posting the photos on her Instagram page.

‘She screamed for soo long…’ Gory details of Catherine Nyokabi’s

Police are investigating the last moments of a 25-year-old woman who ended up badly mutilated and her body dumped in a deserted muddy road in Juja.

On Friday, a suspect – Evans Karani, 38, from Githurai Kimbo – was arrested for the brutal murder of Catherine Nyokabi.

The incident that happened 4 days ago has left residents of Juja shocked and stunned by the magnitude of the senseless act.

The authorities said Nyokabi’s body was badly disfigured and it is suspected that she had been burnt using a corrosive chemical. According to the Directorate of Criminal Investigations, Karani attempted to discard Nyokabi’s body, but his car got stuck in mud on Bob Harris road in Juja. Karani fled the scene leaving the car with the body inside.

Curious passers-by who saw the abandoned car alerted the police after peeping in and seeing a dead body inside.

One eye witness reportedly revealed that she heard Nyokabi scream and plead with Karani for a long time. She thought that it was a normal couple fighting.

Upon interrogation, police said the suspect confessed to killing Nyokabi, a hotel worker in Kahawa Wendani, following a bitter conflict, which started two weeks ago, before the deceased jilted him.

Karani, who is married, told police that the two had been dating for a while before the intense squable that led to the loss of Nyokabi’s life.

The investigative piece further showed how it was easy to acquire guns, police uniforms, ammunitions, and handcuffs in Kenya with as low as KSh 1,000.

Mwambia established that the scoundrel officers were leasing a pistol at KSh 5,000, an AK47 at KSh 10,000, and bulletproof vests. In terms of buying, it was discovered that a Ceska gun is hired for KSh 50,000 while an AK47 gun for hire was valued at between KSh 80,000 and KSh 200,000.

Her exposé was informed by an increased number of cases where police officers were being implicated in criminal activities, with 625 of them reported in the last 10 months. In one incident, at Njoro Police Station, they paid KSh 1,000 to get handcuffs which they were to return within 24 hours.
