Kenyan Instagram Star Elsa Majimbo on the cover of Harper’s Bazaar magazine

Elsa Majimbo is the latest celebrity to grace the cover of Harper’s Bazaar.

The Internet sensation announced her first cover story for the internationally renowned Magazine on her Instagram page on Monday.

She shared photos from her shoot, in which she was dressed in high-end pieces by Balenciaga, Ferruva, Sara Wong, and Jimmy Choo, among others, to highlight her various sides and style.

“There is no “I” in team, but there is an “I” in icon. So excited to share my first Harper’s Bazaar cover-story for @bazaarvietnam. Link in bio,” she wrote.

“I feel like it’s about time. I’ve always known I was fabulous,” said Elsa.

“It is extremely important for me to use my platform to talk about colorism, racism, cyberbullying, and more. These are all things that I grew up going through and still go through to this day,” she said in part.

Elsa spoke about her struggles as a darker-skinned woman, and she was keen to emphasize the importance of motivating her fellow dark-skinned women during the interview.

She stated that her 2.5 million Instagram followers and 1.1 million TikTok followers can expect “bigger and better things” this year.

Elsa has got many wins including the E People’s Choice Award for African Social Star, the Forbes Entertainer Award (Africa), the GQ Entertainer of the Year Award (South Africa), and the Youtube Streamy Award (United States).
