Roselyn Akombe reveals This on BBI terms limits

Former independent electoral and Boundaries commission official Roselyn Akombe has warned Kenyans on the risk of passing the Building Bridges Initiative revealing fresh details about president Uhuru Kenyatta.

She argures that the success of BBI with its provisions even at the refurundum will wipe away the indictment taht used to be the jubilee goverment , allowing the president a chance to restart again.

While the proponents of the BBI may have depicted their good with regard to the amendment of the 2020 constitution, Akombe has suspected there could be a form of deceives whose aim is to benefit some leader.

She has argued that he proposed additional elective post are aimed at blinding kenyans, maintaining that uhurus key goal in BBI is to remain in power post 2022

Uhuru has however reiterated in the past that he is not after prolonging his stay office.

“Stop loaning Kenya”- kenyans sign a petition asking IMF to cancel Ksh 255 billion loan.

Over 200,000 Kenyans have come together to sign a petition, asking International Monetary Fund(IMF) to cancel the Ksh 255 billion, meant to carter for the impact of Covid-19 in the country.

Kenyans took to social to protest against IMF giving Kenya more loans. on friday last week, IMF approved the Sh255 billion loan, which brings a total of Sh 1.3 trillion this year. President Uhuru Kenyatta admitted earlier that, the government is loosing Sh 2 billion daily.

The petition is to seek for change and mobilize supporters. The effectiveness always depends on the number of signatures collected.

Both the government and the International Monetary Fund have not responded on the on going petition.

Six Jubilee senators allied to DP Ruto on verge of losing seats

Yesterday, the Registrar of Political Parties Anne Nderitu told the standard that her office has kicked off the process of striking off the names of the expelled senators from the Jubilee membership roll.

President Uhuru Kenyatta’s side in the ruling Jubilee has expelled nominated senators Isaac Mwaura, Millicent Omanga, Mary Seneta, Falhada Dekow, Naomi Waqo, and Victor Prengei for associating with Deputy President William Ruto.

They errand members, however, are free to move to the High Court if they are not satisfied with the registrar’s decision. And in the event that the High Court also upholds the party decision, they would still have the right to proceed to the Court of Appeal and finally the Supreme Court.

Why Deputy President, William Ruto is yet to recieve Covid-19 vaccine.

Speaking on Thursday, Deputy President William Ruto revealed why he has not taken the Covid-19 vaccine. He said that the Cabinet agreed that frontiline workers would be the first ones to receive the shot, and that he is not one of the frontline workers.

“We decided as Cabinet to prioritize frontline workers and those who have a higher expose to Covid-19 and that’s why we started with doctors,nurses,police and the army and then students, and thats the procedure we are following.” said Ruto.

He said when his time to get the vaccine comes he will take it as well as other Cabinet government officials.

A total of 64,000 people have been vaccinated in the country so far using the AstraZaneca Covid-19 vaccine.
