TikTok Launches Short Film Competition In Partnership With The 2023 Festival De Cannes

At the start of the second edition of the #TikTokShortFilm competition, TikTok announced the next phase of its collaboration with the Festival de Cannes 2023.

Emerging artists and fans are invited to enter the competition by sending in their unique videos that are longer than one minute from now until March 29.

Register through the official form to create and share their own short-form films with our community, using the hashtag #TikTokShortFilm.

A highly regarded jury will choose the winners in three categories—Grand Winner, Best Script, and Best Direction—from the 40 shortlisted videos with the most views and engagement.

The winners will be invited by TikTok to the 76th edition of the Festival de Cannes to present their work and receive their awards.

In addition, the winners will receive endowments to support their further projects totaling €10,000 for the “Grand Winner” category and €5,000 each for the “Best Writing” and “Best Directing” categories.

The #TikTokShortFilm competition, was introduced for the first time in 2022.

It brings together aspiring and seasoned filmmakers to display their talents using TikTok’s extensive library of creative tools and bring their tales to life in fresh and genuine ways.
